Roger Bowser

Roger Bowser is the elected representative for District 1. Roger has been a resident of Wayne Township for over 30 years. He is married and has two daughters who attend Wayne Township Schools.

Both Roger and his wife are very active in the community, the schools, their neighborhood, and the church. Mr. Bowser has been an Indianapolis Police Officer for over 30 years, and is currently assigned to Internal Affairs.

Mr. Bowser is a veteran of the US Army, with over 26 years of active and reserve duty. He served three years in Viet Nam. His awards include the Bronze Star, Air Medal with 26 oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, and Aviator Badge. He left the service as a Warrant Officer helicopter pilot.

Mr. Bowser's goals as an elected board member are to ensure that the residents of Wayne Township receive the best service possible for their tax dollars, that the fire and emergency service is the best available, and that the poor relief dollars are wisely spent on the truly needy.
