Civil claims: Civil suits for claims that a party is unlawfully withholding personal property. Civil claims for all claims under $6000.00 What is needed to file?All claims: Name and address for all parties, reason for the lawsuit, and a $78.00 filing fee. General local rules:Only corporations are required to have an attorney, for claims over $1500.00. If the defendant fails to appear in court, a default judgment may be entered against the defendant. The defendant has 10 days after the date of service to request a Jury Trial. Either party has 60 days from the date of the judgment to file an appeal. The information above is limited.
