Small Claims Court

Judge Maxine King is the judge of the Wayne Township Division of the Marion County Small Claims Court. The court provides a means of resolving disputes utilizing the informal simplified procedures of the Small Claims court. Most cases involving less than $6000.00 can be heard without the parties going through the complicated process of litigation in a court of record.

Real Estate Claims: Landlord, tenant disputes for real estate property located in Wayne Township.

Civil claims: civil suits for claims that a party is unlawfully withholding personal property. Civil claims for all claims under $6000.00

What is needed to file?

All claims: Name and address for all parties, reason for lawsuit, $81.00 filing fee.
