Upon graduation from Mt. Vernon High School, Lisa attended Ball State University where she obtained a Bachelors of Science degree with a double major in Public Relations and Political Science. While attending college she was very active in the Ball State Student Government. Lisa was very involved with Circle K International, a collegiate service organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. She served as both the Circle K of Indiana State Governor and an International Trustee. She traveled to colleges and universities throughout the state and the country assisting the organization with promoting service and leadership opportunities on their campuses. While in college she interned with both Kiwanis International and the Indiana Manufacturers’ Association. Upon graduation she landed her first job as an associate for a lobbying and association management firm, Capitol Consultants. She assisted with the legislative agenda, annual conventions, publications and other projects of various trade associations the firm managed. After leaving the statehouse, Lisa served for six years as the Executive Director of the Wayne Township Education Foundation. She was responsible for managing the Board of Directors, corporate and private fundraising, and special event planning to obtain funds used to provide grants to K-12 Wayne Township schools, teachers and students for educational projects and programs that went beyond the normal classroom curriculum and funding. In 2003, Lisa was appointed by Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi as his Chief of Operations. Her responsibilities included the preparation and management of a $23 million dollar budget, liaison to the city-county council, federal and state grant writing and reporting, and human resource management for 400 employees. As of August of 2009, Lisa was hired as the Deputy Director of Indiana Professional Licensing Agency for the State of Indiana. Lisa has always enjoyed public service. She is past member of the Speedway Town Council and the Wayne Township Fire Department Merit Board. She currently is serving her second term as a member of the Wayne Township Board. In addition to public service she is active in her church and is on the 2010 Speedway Relay for Life Committee.
