The Wayne Township Trustee oversees the township's fire services. With 5 firehouses throughout the township, the department protects 36 square miles of west central Indianapolis.  It also provides building inspections, fire investigations, vehicle maintenance, building and grounds maintenance, public education, Project Lifesaver, CPR, and other services to the community.
